Paint was good but needed a few coats for the lighter colors (ie white). I also used my own brushes which allowed me to paint in the small areas. This set is better for intermediate/advance experience because these paintings require many hours and patience with the small areas. Advice: start with the light colors and background. Don’t be afraid to improvise. I gave 5 stars because it was the right set for me and I love that they’re hanging in my daughter’s condo.
